Mat Su Health Foundation:  Grant Opportunity!  Target Wellness Grants for Coronavirus (COVID-19) Prevention and Response (CPR) -The Mat-Su Health Foundation (MSHF) is offering Coronavirus Prevention and Response (CPR)  grants of up to $50,000 to Mat-Su nonprofit organizations. The grants are designed to support local nonprofits as they address unplanned expenses and/or lost revenue relating to the Coronavirus pandemic. Applications submitted under this program will receive expedited handling. Assistance securing a line of credit is also available.
Examples of things that may be funded by this special Coronavirus (COVD-19) grant program include:

  • Support to build and develop pandemic education and prevention strategies for an organization’s staff and clients.
  • Assistance in communicating with clients about service/outreach changes due to a heightened risk of exposure to Coronavirus.
  • Funding for critical safety-net needs for the clients of nonprofits, including housing, transportation, medical care, childcare, and food security for those affected by disease, quarantine, or school/agency closures.
  • Grants for psychosocial supports and mental health services for staff.
  • Quarantine supplies for nonprofit residential programs.
  • Unexpected work-from-home expenses, which could include establishing collaboration platforms and secure file sharing.
  • Prevention-related expenses for items such as sanitizing supplies and equipment, or professional cleaning of common areas.
  • Costs for offering services to a nonprofit’s clients in less risky ways to deliver services (for example, bringing pick-up or home-delivered meals rather than serving congregate meals, and offering virtual rather than in-person service delivery).
  • Operating expenses associated with Coronavirus, such as lost revenue, continuity planning, or increased labor costs.

Après Ski Party CANCELED March 14th

Dear community members, art patrons and Oosik racers- Denali Arts Council has made the very difficult decision to cancel all events Saturday to help mitigate the spread of Covid -19. We will most certainly reschedule both these fabulous bands in the near future but the priority is to protect our communities well being. If already purchased a ticket we will be refunding accordingly. Thank you for understanding.
Attention ⚠️ Tonight’s film hosted by @denalinordicski is still scheduled as normal. 7:30 pm showtime.

Alaska B4UDie Comedy Fest APRIL 3 2020 doors 7pm/ Show 7:30pm $10-12

The comedians chosen for this show are all very respectful and professional, that being said we would recommend television rules. So TV-MA is ages 14+. It can be an all ages show from our perspective but attending parents should be aware that some colorful language may occur.

What is Alaska B4UDie Comedy Fest?

Alaska B4UDie Fest is a week long comedy arts festival with shows in Anchorage, Soldotna, Talkeetna, and Juneau, Alaska. We believe every performer should have the chance to step on stage in Alaska before they die. The Festival offers an opportunity for the best standup comedians in the nation to showcase their talents to Alaskan audiences, while also elevating and celebrating the work of Alaskan comedians.

Alaska B4UDie Comedy Fest is committed to offering the best that Alaska has to offer to its performers, including sightseeing trips and opportunities to explore the wilderness of the Chugach National Forest. Experience some of the best comedians in the country, and create unforgettable memories in one of the last truly wild places on earth.

Alaska B4UDie Comedy Fest and The AKComics907 are committed to servicing the Anchorage Community and helping out to those in need. In 2017, The AKComics907 raised over $6,000 dollars for Planned Parenthood.
