Like most cultural attractions, DAC has closed it’s doors for the health and safety of our staff and visitors, due to COVID-19. We will be monitoring and reviewing the situation in accordance with state and federal guidelines. In the meantime, we need your support today. Below are three ways you can support Denali Arts Council during this extremely challenging time.
Denali Arts Council Presents a virtual exhibition in collaboration with SVS PTSA President Caitlin Palmer.
For the month of June we will be posting work that students of Susitna Valley Junior Senior High School have created daily on our instagram and Facebook feeds.
SVS students are a richly talented and diverse group of young people. Our rural Alaskan school of just over 200 students in the sixth through twelfth grades are a daily inspiration to our school community.
“Our student artists hope these images bring you joy during this time of social distancing. In turn, we hope that by bringing SVS students talent to the wider world it will help our emerging young artists to continue their creative processes into the future.”- Caitlin Palmer
This show was made possible by volunteers from the SVS PTSA, and grants from Jessica Stevens Community Foundation and Talkeetna Batchelor Society.
If interested in any of the work for sale below please contact Director@denaliartscouncil.org. Note: Artist receives 70% and 30% goes directly to the Talkeetna Artist Guild.
