In addition to our regular programming, Denali Arts Council is thrilled to announce our first official Performing Arts Season, bringing seven nationally touring shows to the Sheldon Community Arts Hangar in Talkeetna between September and April. We have selected a variety of acts, including jazz, performance comedy, indigenous folk, island soul, historical theater, Irish American rock, and guitar powerhouses. We are working hard to bring a diverse selection of performers to Talkeetna, while developing young artists and helping to re-balance the music industry to support more women and people of color.
At Denali Arts Council, a non-profit, we are artist and experience focused, and any and all profits made at our events go straight to supporting our values of diversity, artistry, and community and fulfilling our mission to nurture the arts in Talkeetna. Our audiences are appreciative, quiet, and respectful during performances. We don’t allow drunken distractions, disruptive talking, or excessive filming/phone use. Our shows are mostly seated, always all-ages (unless otherwise stated), and often bar w/ID. Some shows may have space for dancing it the music fits that vibe.

Performing Art Season Subscriptions
For the first time ever, Denali Arts Council is offering season subscriptions for individuals who want to guarantee their spot in the crowd and get additional savings and perks. By buying a subscription, you will have first access to ticket sales, before they go on sale to the public. All subscribers will also get early admission into shows (30 minutes before doors open to the general public) and free exchange of tickets (in case plans change and you can’t make a show). There are two options to subscribe:
3-Pack Subscription
Choose any 3 shows and receive a 15% discount on ticket sales (a $21 savings!).
Full Season Subscription
Get access to all 7 shows with a 25% discount (a $79 savings!).
Subscriber FAQ
What are the benefits to becoming a subscriber? There are many! You are supporting Denali Arts Council’s values of diversity, artistry, and community and helping us fulfill our mission of nurturing the arts in Talkeetna. In exchange, you get discounted tickets to high quality performances, early admission (claim prime seats!), and free ticket exchange when available.
What if I change my mind and I want to go to different shows than what I originally selected? No problem! Let us know before the show you can’t make, and we’ll swap out your tickets for any other performing arts season show that still has tickets available. And at no extra cost to you!
What if I buy a 3-pack subscription but then realize that there are additional shows I’d like to attend? Great! Give us a call and we are happy to offer you the 3-pack subscriber price ($38/ticket) to any additional shows.
Do I have to be a Denali Arts Council member to become a subscriber? Nope! Subscriptions are available to anyone. To maximize your support of the arts in Talkeetna, consider becoming a member and a subscriber! We will have many shows in addition to our performing arts season throughout the year and DAC members get discounted tickets to most of them.
