About the instructor, Johanna Barry

Johanna fell in love with dance at age 10. Her background in competitive gymnastics, along with her enthusiasm and dedication allowed her to improve quickly. She has advanced to Conservatory Ballet Level 2 (of 4), has been invited to the Alaska Pride Dance Company’s competitive team (contemporary and jazz), will attend several dance intensives this summer and start pointe work in the fall. You can see her perform at the Glenn Massey Theatre every semester as well as in the Alaskan Nutcracker.

Johanna’s mother, Carolyn, will also be present for the Dance Academy ballet lessons.
