Summer 2023
Following a successful 2022 Summer Fine Arts Workshop series, Denali Arts Council is thrilled to announce our first ever Fine Arts Camp! With options for youth artists and art-curious, aged 3-17 years old, this camp has something for everyone. This year’s focuses will include acrylic window art, wood collage, pen and ink, watercolor, mixed media concept art, acrylic painting, geometric dot art, Native Alaskan drum making, Native Alaskan yoyos and graphic design. The Upper Susitna Fine Art Camp Director is Rebecca Korpi. Rebecca is a local artist with a degree in Fine Art and 20 years of teaching experience. Rebecca has interned with teaching artists at the Sitka Fine Art Camp.
Shawn Standley is a local artist who find immense joy in creating and sharing his work with others. He specializes in painting and acrylic window art. Shawn has worked closely with Art In School programs in the Upper Susitna Valley.
Leddy Leds is a talented local artist whose best known for her unique and stunning geometric art.
Nicole Keane is a versatile artist out of Anchorage. Nicole’s pen and ink and watercolor is lively and beautiful! Nicole is a teaching artist that loves to blend medias and graphic arts.
Becky Johnson is an Alaskan Native with over 15 years experience teaching native arts and programming through the Alaska Heritage Center.
