Administrative Manager

Position Summary

The Denali Arts Council seeks a highly organized, detail-oriented Administrative Manager to support the Executive Director and overall operations and programs. This position combines administrative, financial, development, and program support responsibilities to ensure smooth office operations, accurate record-keeping, and strong community engagement.

The Administrative Manager will play a key role in supporting staff, programs, events, fundraising, and donor relations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain all donor records, including annual campaign contributions, mailing lists, and the DAC database (Neon CRM)
  • Process accounts payable and receivable; maintain organized financial records for the bookkeeper.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail, including regular mail pick-up
  • Assist patrons with facility rentals and general inquiries
  • Maintain office organization, and supply inventory
  • Ensure efficient day-to-day office operations and a professional, welcoming environment
  • Support communication and coordination between the Executive Director and program coordinators.
  • Assist with planning and execution of programs, events, and community activities
  • Support fundraising efforts, donor relations, and development activities
  • Provide on-site support for events and programs as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director

Qualifications

  • Strong organizational, administrative, and basic bookkeeping skills
  • Proficiency with computers; experience with QuickBooks Online (preferred)
  • Proficiency in tools like Excel and general office software (required)
  • Experience with CRM systems and donor databases (preferred)
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Flexibility and willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends for events
  • Appreciation for the arts and commitment to the mission of the Denali Arts Council

Schedule and Compensation

  • Full-time position
  • Flexible schedule with a hybrid work environment; some tasks may be completed remotely
  • Required regular on-site presence at the Sheldon Community Arts Hangar
  • Must be available to work occasional evenings and weekends in support of programs and events
  • Compensation: $22 to $24 an hour
