Since 1994, Denali Arts Council, and a dedicated group of volunteers have been offering kids, ages 5 and up the chance to discover the magic of circus art! We know everyone can benefit from laughter, working together, and turning themselves upside down.

A build-your-own Taco Bar at the Sheldon Community Arts Hangar, with fixins prepared by Mary Sprague. Tuesdays 5-9pm.

Professional Ice Sculptor, Tommy Salami will guide you through the intricacies of ice art. Tommy will be hosting two workshops:
Adult Workshop (ages 15 and up) from 11am to 1pm
Youth Workshop (ages 10 to 15) from 2pm to 4pm

The Risan Project kicks off with a screening of Northward, a short documentary on Todd Anders Johnson’s socially-conscious band, Salem, touring and backcountry snowboarding in Alaska. Next, there will be a screening of Cresta Alta which chronicles a journey to Alaska, Iceland, Chile and Peru, to document glaciological research expeditions and sustainability and a Q&A with producer and director, Todd Anders Johnson. Every third Tuesday, beginning October 15, come to the Sheldon Community Arts Hangar for B Movie BINGO. It’s simple. We play bingo to the most awesome movie cliches ever committed to celluloid, like “long boring scene or male ponytail,” “teamed up with rookie or animal,” and “white suit or tropical ending.” Doors open at 8:30, Movie starts at 9:00pm!
This event will be for attendees aged 21 and over.
